German-Slovene Chamber of Commerce, AHK Slovenia, hosted its annual Sommerfest on July 3rd, bringing together members for a relaxed yet vibrant networking event.

The event took place at Švicarija, a historic cultural venue nestled in Tivoli Park, once home to the renowned Slovenian writer Ivan Cankar. This picturesque location provided the perfect backdrop for an evening focused on connection, community, and celebration.
Sommerfest is one of the Chamber’s traditional events — an informal gathering designed to strengthen ties within the AHK business community.
Before the evening shifted into a more laid-back summer celebration, the event began with a short official programme. Guests were welcomed by the President of the German-Slovene Chamber of Commerce, Dagmar von Bohnstein, followed by a speech from the Ambassador of Germany to Slovenia, Sylvia Groneick.

Special recognition was given to both new members joining the Chamber and members who are leaving, acknowledging their contributions and continued connection to the AHK network.
This year’s edition offered a memorable mix of networking opportunities, Bavaria-inspired games, and a festive summer atmosphere. Attendees enjoyed engaging conversations, shared laughter, and a unique blend of professional and social interaction.

With great participation and a laid-back atmosphere, Sommerfest 2025 offered a welcome opportunity to unwind, catch up with colleagues, and enjoy the community spirit that defines the German-Slovene Chamber of Commerce.

AHK Slovenia extends its sincere thanks to all who attended and contributed to the event’s success. A special thank you goes to Fraport Slovenija for supporting this year’s event.
