The resting corner at Velenje Gallery’s Atrium is dedicated to the revival of all sorts of Pippi’s mischievous adventures. In Pippi’s outdoor resting area, all polka-dotted Pippis and pirate children will be able to relax their tired legs from the lively festival fun and pick up a good book about the most celebrated mischievous heroine. Here, the visitors can find the Magical Bookcase, filled with selected beautiful stories about Pippi, and children can comfortably settle into giant soft beanbags. At Pippi’s imaginative tea party, the audience will be able to enjoy small theatrical performances and take part in the riddle corner.

Pippi’s Loung Area is organized by Festival Velenje in cooperation with the Embassy of Sweden.
Established in 1990, Pika’s Festival is the most popular event in Velenje and the largest children’s festival that attracts its audience from all over Slovenia. Although planned from the outset as an event for children, it is also popular with parents and teachers.
