On February 6th, 2026, the Provincial Secretariat for Economy and Tourism and the Tourist Organisation of Vojvodina organized a “Partners’ Evening” in Ljubljana as part of the presentation of the tourism sector of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina at the 36th International “Alpe–Adria” Tourism and Camping Fair.

The event brought together strategic partners, associates, and numerous guests from countries across the region, intending to strengthen cooperation and jointly present Vojvodina’s tourism potential.
Provincial Secretary for Economy and Tourism Dr Nenad Ivanišević emphasised the importance of unity and partnership, noting that Vojvodina’s new regional tourism campaign would be rounded off in Ljubljana.
“Wherever we may be, we proudly present where we come from. Vojvodina is geographically a small region, yet part of a great country that we represent through our culture, tradition and, above all, our people,” Ivanišević stated.

He also announced a two-day event dedicated to presenting Vojvodina at the end of September 2026, organised with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Slovenia, the City of Ljubljana, and the Tourist Organisation of Vojvodina.
Speaking about the characteristics of the province, Secretary Ivanišević highlighted Vojvodina’s hospitality as a distinctive mark of openness and a culture of togetherness for which the province is well known.
“Vojvodina is adorned by good people, good wine, food, history and culture. It is a place you enter with open arms and an open heart, and the Vojvodina spirit is our greatest asset.”
Director of the Tourist Organisation of Vojvodina, Jasmina Beljan Iskrin, welcomed the attendees and stressed the importance of networking and the continuous promotion of the tourism offer.
“In the coming period, we will work intensively on promoting and presenting Vojvodina in a contemporary way, so that visitors can experience it at a relaxed pace – through our landscapes, cities, culture and natural beauty,” Beljan Iskrin said, underlining the importance of the support provided by the Provincial Secretariat for Economy and Tourism in implementing joint activities.

The “Partners’ Evening” was attended by high-ranking officials from the Republic of Slovenia and other countries of the region, representatives of diplomatic and consular missions, exhibitors at the Vojvodina pavilion, as well as other guests.

On February 5th, 2026, the delegation of the Provincial Secretariat for Economy and Tourism, headed by Provincial Secretary dr Nenad Ivanišević, also met with the Mayor of Ljubljana, Zoran Janković.

The meeting was held during the delegation’s working visit to Ljubljana, Republic of Slovenia, and aims to improve cooperation and create future joint activities and projects to better and more visibly present the tourism resources of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina to the Slovenian market, with special emphasis on the city of Ljubljana, which is of strategic importance in regional tourism exchange.
The Provincial Secretariat for Economy and Tourism is intensively developing new outlines of a regional campaign in cooperation with the Tourist Organisation of Vojvodina, and with the support of the Vojvodina Chamber of Commerce, funds operating in the territory of the AP Vojvodina, and other relevant institutions and organisations, given that a joint approach is crucial for the successful implementation of the regional tourism campaign.
According to Provincial Secretary Ivanišević, the meeting with the Mayor of Ljubljana was one of the most important meetings during the working visit to Slovenia.
“With the assistance of our Embassy in Slovenia and the Tourist Organisation of Vojvodina, we agreed to present Vojvodina in an authentic way in the second half of September, in the area between the City Hall and our Embassy, with the support of the City of Ljubljana, by organising a two-day presentation. We want to present gastronomy and tourism offerings on the streets of this beautiful city through a music programme, and later in the evening to organise a Vojvodina night,” Ivanišević stated, summarising the conclusions from today’s meeting.
Ivanišević added that it is very important to present Vojvodina in the right light – as an interesting, colourful, beautiful, progressive, smart and universally appealing destination.
