Bruno Bonifačić, Director of the Croatian Tourist Board office in Slovenia, highlighted that Lika-Senj County offers a wealth of natural beauty and tourist content – from outdoor activities, adventure and active holidays, to rich and authentic cuisine, and significant cultural and historical heritage.

Along with Deputy Director of the Tourist Board Ankica Grabašnjak, the event was also attended by Mile Milković, Director of the Lika Development Center, and renowned Croatian chef Dino Galvagno, who traded the city life for a village near Donji Lapac.

A Feast for All Senses: From Trout and Local Snacks to Lamb and Dairy Desserts

Chef Galvagno’s tasting menu impressed with an explosion of flavors. The meal started with nettle stew and tarana – fried pasta filled with smoked trout and basa cheese, paired with Boškinac Grand Cuvée, vintage 2021. The traditional Lika snack – a bean cream, kohlrabi, salted venison, and wild herbs – was served with Boškinac Ocu, also from 2021.

For the main course, a superb lamb with potatoes and freshly picked samphire from the seaside, also brought to Ljubljana was perfectly paired with the complex Boškinac Black Cuvée, vintage 2018. The dessert featured sour milk ice cream, uštipak with plum brandy, and berries, followed by a warm round of applause for the creative chef who brought the flavors and beauty of Lika-Senj County to life.
