European Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, will be visiting Slovenia on the 4th and 5th of December.
The visit will begin on Thursday, the 4th of December 2025, with a meeting with Minister Bojan Kumer, followed by an event at the Faculty of Social Sciences in Ljubljana, where she will speak with students about EU enlargement in the context of current geopolitical circumstances.
The Commissioner will then meet with EU ambassadors accredited to Slovenia and with the Head of the European Commission Representation in Slovenia, Jerneja Jug Jerše.
On Thursday, December 4th, in the afternoon, Commissioner Kos will take part in the roundtable “Liberalism the Slovenian Way” together with Prime Minister Robert Golob, where they will present their views on contemporary liberalism in the European and Slovenian context, as well as its influence on political culture, institutions, and social development.
On Friday, 5 December 2025, Commissioner Kos will meet with Minister Matjaž Han.
“Visible and Heard: When Voices Become Change”
The same day, Marta Kos will attend an event titled “Visible and Heard: When Voices Become Change” at the EU House, organised by the association ONA VE. The event is dedicated to discussions on gender equality and the media representation of women. The Commissioner will conclude the visit by participating in the roundtable “From Symbolism to the Impact of Women in Politics”, together with the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Nataša Pirc Musar, State Secretary Dan Juvan, and representatives from expert and media circles in Slovenia.
