Heart, Respect, and Commitment to Community
In an extraordinary spirit of Rotary, three significant anniversaries of Rotary in Slovenia were celebrated on April 5th, 2025. The event, filled with energy, meaningful messages, and the presence of many distinguished guests, left a lasting impression.

It was marked by gratitude, connection, and the reinforcement of shared values. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the event truly unforgettable. The celebration was enriched by our keynote speaker, the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr. Nataša Pirc Musar. In her inspiring address, she beautifully reflected on Rotary’s history and highlighted the importance of Rotary work in Slovenia – from supporting flood victims, to empowering youth, and responding swiftly to crises like the recent fire in Kočani. With compassion and reverence, the President and all present paid tribute to the victims of the Kočani fire. A moment of silence honored the memory of the 59 lives lost.

Sincere thanks also go to the President of the National Council, Mr. Marko Lotrič; His Excellency Mr. Goran Milevski, Ambassador of North Macedonia to Slovenia; and the Mayor of Bled, Mr. Anton Mežan, who all expressed deep respect for the humanitarian work carried out by Rotarians both locally and globally.

The event held special meaning with the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Alma Foundation and the Association of Rotary Clubs of Slovenia for two youth-focused projects, “Every Story Counts” and “Give a Moment.” These initiatives reflect a strong commitment of Rotary to the next generation.

True to Rotary spirit, the evening also included a charitable drive to support youth-oriented projects, staying faithful to Rotary’s mission – serving the community, helping where it’s most needed, and giving back to society.
