The Embassy of Japan is pleased to announce the 14th Japan Day, a traditional festival dedicated to all those
with an interest in Japan. The event will take place on 20 June 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Republic
Square (Trg republike) in Ljubljana.
Associations, groups, organizations, and individuals from Slovenia engaged in activities related to Japan will
present their work, joined by special guests from Japan. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience
various aspects of Japanese culture, including arts, music, dance, ikebana, the tea ceremony, literature,
martial arts, and cuisine. The programme will also feature performances of traditional Japanese instruments,
taiko drumming, the storytelling art of kamishibai, and many other authentic expressions of Japanese culture.
